• He graduated in Law, with distinction, at Milan State University. His final thesis on commercial law with professor P.G. Jaeger was deemed innovative. For fifteen years he worked as an active entrepreneur and manager in various professional sectors including construction, luxury goods, IT service industry, in Italy, as well as overseas.

• In parallel to this work he dedicated himself to his own training and development in consultancy, predominantly in the field of communication and in HR (seen as human relations) within business organisations. In the years he assisted some interesting examples of generational transition in business.

• For 14 years he was engaged in the Italian Manufacturers’ Association (Confindustria). He covered various institutional positions, from local to national level, participating in groups and working committees on very different themes including economics, labour and organisational policies.

• At the end of the 90s he left the commercial sector to dedicate himself to the “no-profit” field. He became a trainer in self-awareness and nonviolent transformation of conflicts. For years he held weekly self-help groups and seminars for self-empowerment, while developing his career as an existential counsellor, or “life coach”. Later he continued to work as an independent professional.

Alongl with his no-profit work he started an in-depth study and research in human sciences and the philosophy of Nonviolence, becoming an esteemed essayist and lecturer. In 2007 he was awarded the “Tiziano Terzani-Florence for the cultures of peace” prestigious literary prize. He began working on the applications of the methodologies of Nonviolence to curing patients. In 2009 he obtained a Master's degree in the emotional and relational implications in healthcare at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza.

• Between 2000 and 2008 he refined his skills in the nonviolent tranfrormation of conflicts; at an individual level (existential conflicts), at family level (relationship conflicts) and at a more complex group level (whereupon dealing with relations of an organizational, professional or political nature), always rooting his methods in nonviolent empathic communication.

During the same period he developed original methodologies to implement CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policies and practices. The aim is set to spark projects for product and process innovations of the highest economic and social value.
Because of this highly specialized skill he has been invited to partake in the revolutionary project HSR - Human Social Responsibility or, as he likes to put it: "Humane, Sustainable, Rewarding".

• At the beginning of 2008, the sixtieth anniversary of Gandhi’s death, he published the essay “Democratic Values of Vinoba Bhave” and launched the Neotopia project to research on the practical application of Gandhi’s Nonviolence principles and methodology. Subsequently the think-tank Associazione Neotopia was founded and an international network of scholars and researchers is being woven. He leads the "Medicine in Neotopia" research group.

By 2009 he is a member of SEAL (Society for Evolutionary Analysis in Law) at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee (USA), a scholarly association dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary exploration of issues at the intersection of law, biology and evolutionary theory.

Since 2010 he is the project manager and member of the academic committee of the world's first Master in Applied Nonviolence, developed by Neotopia together with the University of Bergamo, Faculty of Educational studies.

in 2012 he specializes in Strategies for Sustainability Management at University of Harvard Extension School (Boston, USA), thus adding further knowledge to his wide competence in the matter.
