He graduated in Law, with distinction, at Milan State University.
His final thesis on commercial law with professor P.G. Jaeger
was deemed innovative. For fifteen years he worked
as an active entrepreneur and manager in various professional
sectors including construction, luxury goods, IT service industry, in Italy, as well
as overseas.

In parallel to this work he dedicated himself to his own
training and development in consultancy, predominantly in
the field of communication and in HR (seen as human
relations) within business organisations. In the years he
assisted some interesting examples of generational transition
in business.

For 14 years he was engaged in the Italian Manufacturers’
Association (Confindustria). He covered various institutional
positions, from local to national level, participating in
groups and working committees on very different themes including
economics, labour and organisational policies.

At the end of the 90s he left the commercial sector to dedicate
himself to the “no-profit” field. He became a trainer in self-awareness
and nonviolent transformation of conflicts. For years
he held weekly self-help groups and seminars for self-empowerment,
while developing his career as an existential counsellor,
or “life coach”. Later he continued to work as an independent
professional.

Alongl with his no-profit work he started
an in-depth study and research in human sciences and the philosophy of Nonviolence, becoming
an esteemed essayist and lecturer. In 2007 he was awarded
the “Tiziano Terzani-Florence for the cultures of peace”
prestigious literary prize. He began working on the applications of the methodologies of Nonviolence to curing patients.
In 2009 he obtained a Master's degree in the emotional and relational implications in healthcare at the Università
Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza.

Between 2000 and 2008 he refined his skills in the nonviolent
tranfrormation of conflicts; at an individual
level (existential conflicts), at family level
(relationship conflicts) and at a more complex group level
(whereupon dealing with relations of an
organizational, professional or political nature), always
rooting his methods in nonviolent empathic communication.

During the same period he developed original methodologies to implement CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policies and practices. The aim is set to spark projects for product and process innovations of the highest economic and social value.
Because of this highly specialized skill he has been invited to partake in the revolutionary project HSR - Human Social Responsibility or, as he likes to put it: "Humane, Sustainable, Rewarding".

At the beginning of 2008, the sixtieth anniversary of Gandhi’s
death, he published the essay “Democratic Values of Vinoba
Bhave” and launched the Neotopia
project to research on the practical
application of Gandhi’s Nonviolence principles and methodology.
Subsequently the think-tank Associazione Neotopia was founded and an international network of scholars and researchers
is being woven.He leads the "Medicine in Neotopia" research group.
• By 2009 he is a member of SEAL (Society for Evolutionary Analysis in Law) at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee (USA), a scholarly association dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary exploration of issues at the intersection of law, biology and evolutionary theory.
• Since 2010 he is the project manager and member of the academic committee of the world's first Master in Applied Nonviolence, developed by Neotopia together with the University of Bergamo, Faculty of Educational studies.
• in 2012 he specializes in Strategies for Sustainability Management at University of Harvard Extension School (Boston, USA), thus adding further knowledge to his wide competence in the matter.
